How to play (the 60-second version)
Ten rounds. In round 1 you're dealt 1 card; round 2, two cards — up to 10 cards in round 10. Every round you bid exactly how many tricks you'll win — hit your bid and score big, miss it and you sink.
- Bidding: players bid in turn, starting left of the dealer. A bid of 0 is allowed — and worth the most when it holds (±10 × the round number).
- Tricks: follow the led suit if you can. The black Jolly Roger suit is trump and beats every colored suit. Special cards may always be played, suit or no suit.
- The food chain: 🧜 Mermaid beats 💀 Skull King · 💀 Skull King beats 🏴☠️ Pirates · 🏴☠️ Pirates beat 🧜 Mermaids and every numbered card. The 🐯 Tigress is wild — declare her a Pirate or an Escape when you play her. ⚓ Escapes lose to everything… unless everyone escapes, when the first one wins.
- Scoring: exact bid = 20 points per trick bid (bid 0 made = 10 × round). Miss = −10 per trick you're off (bid 0 missed = −10 × round). Bonuses ride along either way: +10 for every 14 captured, +20 per Pirate a Skull King captures, +30 per Skull King a Mermaid captures.
- The deck is our 74-card variant: suits run 1–14, with 5 Pirates, 5 Mermaids, 2 Skull Kings, 5 Escapes and 1 Tigress.
- House pacing: you get 90 seconds per decision — run out and the table auto-plays a sensible move for you, so a dropped phone never freezes the game. Rejoin with the same link and your seat (and hand) are waiting.
2–8 players. Tables are private — only people with your code can join. Chat at the table is live-only and never stored.
