📄 CertSight PDF Editor

📣 What this app will do for you

This app will give you everything you need to do with PDFs on your desktop — view, annotate, sign, fill forms, reorder pages, redact for real, and convert between PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, and images. Conversions run per file on CertSight servers (200 per rolling 30 days, 50 MB max); everything else happens locally on your computer. Heads up: v1 has no OCR, so scanned-image PDFs can't be searched or converted. Backed by a 7-day money-back guarantee.

What it does

  • Open & view any PDF.
  • Annotate: highlight, underline, strikethrough, sticky notes, shapes, free-text.
  • Fill forms — check boxes, text fields, dropdowns.
  • Draw or type an e-signature and place it anywhere.
  • Page tools: merge, split, extract, reorder, and delete pages.
  • Page numbers + watermarks for polished documents.
  • True redaction — removed text is gone from the file, not just covered up.
  • Compress oversized PDFs for email and upload limits.
  • Password-protect sensitive files.
  • Edit document metadata (title, author, subject, keywords).
  • Convert: between PDF, docx, xlsx, pptx, txt, html, png, jpg — processed on CertSight servers, per file. Almost everything converts to PDF; Word/Excel/PowerPoint outputs convert within their own document family (documents → docx, spreadsheets → xlsx, presentations → pptx), and PDFs convert to docx (rebuilt as an editable Word document), txt (text layer), html, png, and jpg.

⚠️ v1 scope notes — read before you buy

  • No true paragraph reflow. Editing existing body text in v1 works through text overlay boxes — you cover the old text with an editable box. Full reflowing text editing is a later release.
  • No OCR. Scanned-image PDFs can't be searched or text-selected yet — OCR is on the roadmap, not in v1.
  • PDF → Word is a reconstruction. The Word file is rebuilt from the PDF's text layer — paragraphs, headings, lists, bordered tables, and images are recreated as editable Word content. It works best on text-based PDFs; complex multi-column layouts come back in approximate reading order, and scanned-image PDFs can't be converted this way (no OCR — see above).
  • Conversions are per-file. Each conversion is queued and processed individually through CertSight servers; there is no batch-conversion UI in v1.
  • Image export renders the first page. Converting a multi-page document to png/jpg produces an image of the first page (or first slide) only. When a conversion produces extra files (e.g. HTML with images), you get them all together in a ZIP.

If any of the above is a deal-breaker for you, v1 isn't for you yet — and we'd rather tell you now than after checkout.

🔒 Conversion privacy

When you convert a file, the file is uploaded to CertSight servers over an encrypted connection and converted there. Your uploaded file and the converted result are held only in temporary storage while the conversion runs and are deleted immediately when the conversion finishes or fails — we do not keep, read, or share your documents. All we record is that a conversion happened, for your 200-per-30-days limit. Everything else the app does (viewing, annotating, signing, page tools) happens locally on your computer; those files never leave your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Download

Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon).

Desktop downloads are ready below. The Windows build is a portable zip (extract and run — no installer needed). Both are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. Your license key works the moment they're posted.
