What CatalogStage is — and is not
- It is deterministic visual standardization in your browser: background fill, fit-to-frame with padding, and resize to the export sizes above — plus a per-image approval queue where you verify each result.
- It is not a guarantee of photographic accuracy. Standardization changes framing and size, not what the product is. If a photo misrepresents the product, standardizing it will not fix that — only your approval (or rejection) decides whether it ships.
- It is not AI background removal or product detection. Nothing is cut out, detected, or removed. The background colour is filled behind the whole photo, and the photo is fitted inside the frame as-is.
- It is not a multi-category studio (v1). One category template: packaged products, square framing, the three export sizes above. Other categories are not built yet.
- Photos never leave your browser. The server queue stores file names, decisions, and notes only — never image bytes. Export is a download from your browser, not a server file.
