🎫 CouponForge

📣 What this app will do for you

This app will keep your own coupon codes one click away at checkout — save the codes you already have (each with a store name and a note) in this browser extension, and when a checkout page shows a promo-code field, a small button beside it lets you pick one of your saved codes and fill the field. Your codes stay in your browser's local extension storage. Heads up: CouponForge is a browser extension, not a desktop app — it has no coupon-code database and never finds, scrapes, or auto-applies codes; nothing is filled until you click, it never submits an order, and it is not listed in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons, so you install it yourself from the download (in Firefox it loads as a temporary add-on that is removed on restart).

Your own coupon codes, saved in your browser — one click away when a checkout asks for one.

$19 one-time price. No subscription. Yours forever.

What's included: the full CouponForge browser extension (Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers, plus Firefox) · one license covers up to 3 browsers (free a slot anytime from the extension's options page with "Deactivate," or from your CertSight account page by regenerating your key) · your license key is emailed at checkout and can also be shown on screen right after payment.

What it does

  • It keeps YOUR codes — it has no coupon-code database. You save the codes you already have (from emails, loyalty accounts, receipts) in the extension, each with a store name and a note. CouponForge does not find, fetch, or bundle coupon codes, and it never claims a code works — you find out when you try it at checkout, same as typing it yourself.
  • Fill-on-click at checkout. When a checkout page shows a promo-code field, CouponForge puts a small 🎫 button next to it. Click it, pick one of your saved codes, and the code is filled into the field (with the input/change events pages listen for). You review everything and place the order yourself — CouponForge never submits a form or an order.
  • Nothing is filled until you click. There is no auto-apply: no code is ever typed into a page unless you choose it, and no code is tried behind your back.
  • A popup for copying, too. Click the toolbar icon to see your saved codes, each with a Copy button — handy for checkouts the button doesn't reach, or for pasting a code anywhere else.
  • Your codes stay in your browser. Codes are stored in the browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer — not on CertSight's servers, and they don't sync between browsers. The only network calls the extension ever makes are the license activation and deactivation requests to certsightprep.com.
  • Deactivate from inside the extension. The options page has a Deactivate button that frees that browser's activation slot when you move to a new browser or computer — no support ticket, no waiting.

🔒 Permissions, in plain terms

  • What it asks for: the storage permission (to keep your codes and license in the browser) and host access to https pages (https://*/*), which is what lets the content script run on checkout pages.
  • Why the broad host access: a promo field can appear on any store's checkout, so the script has to be allowed everywhere to find it. A field is recognized only by its own attributes — if its name, id, placeholder, aria-label, or class contains a word like promo, coupon, discount, voucher, or promocode, it gets the 🎫 button.
  • What the script does NOT do with that access: it reads nothing on the page beyond those input attributes, collects no browsing history, sends nothing anywhere, and runs no ongoing watcher — after the page loads it rescans a few times over about ten seconds for late-appearing checkout forms, then stops.

⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy

  • Not in any store. CouponForge is not listed in the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. You download a zip from this page and install it yourself using the steps below — that's also why there's no automatic update channel; if we publish a new version, you download it again from here.
  • Your browser may warn you. Chrome and Edge periodically remind you that developer-mode extensions are installed and may suggest disabling them — that's the standard warning shown for every extension installed outside the Web Store, not something specific to CouponForge.
  • Firefox installs are temporary. Firefox only lets an unsigned extension in as a "temporary add-on," which Firefox removes when the browser restarts — you'd load it again after a restart. A permanent Firefox install would need Mozilla's signing, which v1 doesn't have.
  • HTTPS checkouts only, and detection isn't magic. The button appears on https pages, next to fields whose attributes use the usual promo-code wording. A checkout that names its field unusually won't get a button — the popup's Copy button still works there.
  • One browser profile = one activation. Each install identifies itself with a random id generated in the browser (not a hardware id). One key covers up to 3 browsers; different profiles in the same browser count separately.
  • Not yet click-tested in a real browser by a human. Checkout, licensing, and activation are covered end to end by automated tests, and the extension's own logic has its own offline test suite, but it has not yet had a full human click-through in a real Chrome or Firefox — the in-browser experience is v1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.

If any of the above is a deal-breaker for you, v1 isn't for you yet — and we'd rather tell you now than after checkout.

Download & install

One zip for every browser — unzip it first, then follow your browser's steps.

Chrome / Edge / Chromium:

  1. Download the zip above and unzip it (you'll get a folder containing manifest.json).
  2. Open chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions).
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.

Firefox (128+):

  1. Download the zip above and unzip it.
  2. Open about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on.
  3. Pick the manifest.json inside the unzipped folder. (Temporary: Firefox removes it when the browser restarts.)

How activation works: at checkout your license key is emailed to you (and can be shown on screen right after payment). Open CouponForge's options page (right-click the toolbar icon → Options, or the "Manage codes" link in the popup), paste the key into the License section, and click Activate — that's a one-time online check; afterwards the extension works offline and doesn't phone home except when you deactivate. One license activates in up to 3 browsers. Replacing a browser? Use Deactivate on the options page to free its slot, or generate a fresh key from your account page (the old key stops working).
