What it does

  • A canvas you can actually arrange. Add rectangles, ellipses, and text blocks, then drag them where you want them. Every element can be moved, resized with its handles, and rotated with the rotate handle — holding Shift snaps rotation to 15° steps, and the hit-testing is rotation-aware, so what you grab is what moves.
  • Three starter templates. Begin from one of three included templates and rearrange it, or start from a blank canvas. Templates are starting points made of the same shapes and text you can add yourself.
  • Export that matches the preview exactly. Export renders your design as a PNG or JPG image using the exact same renderer that draws the on-screen preview — what you arrange is exactly what exports, with no second layout engine to drift.
  • Deactivate from inside the app. A "Deactivate this computer" button frees that computer's activation slot when you replace a machine — no support ticket, no waiting.
  • Everything stays on your computer. Your designs are saved locally. The only network connections the app ever makes are the activation / deactivation checks to CertSight, and there is no telemetry.

⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy

  • Shapes and text only — there is no image insertion. You cannot place photos, logos, or any other image files in a design. If your design needs a picture in it, DesignForge can't do that today.
  • Three shape types. Rectangle, ellipse, and text block — that's the whole toolbox in this version.
  • Three starter templates. A small starter set, not a template library.
  • There is no undo or redo. Moving, resizing, rotating, or deleting an element is final once done.
  • There is no zoom. The canvas is shown at a fixed scale.
  • No cloud sync, no collaboration, no AI in v1. Designs live only on the computer where you make them; back them up yourself.
  • Windows only for now. The download below is a Windows portable build. There is no macOS or Linux build yet — we'd rather say that plainly than promise one. Your license will work on those builds if and when they're published.
  • Human GUI click-through is still pending. Checkout, licensing, and activation are covered end to end by automated tests, but the app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through on a real Windows machine — the in-app experience is v1.1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.

macOS and Linux are not available yet. There is no build for them today; if one is published later, this same license key will activate it.

The app is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. Choose "More info → Run anyway" to start it.

How activation works: at checkout your license key is emailed to you (and can be shown on screen right after payment). Enter it on the app's activation screen — one license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. Replacing a computer? Use "Deactivate this computer" inside the app to free its slot, or generate a fresh key from your account page (the old key stops working).
