What it does

  • Template picker — 6 flyer/poster layouts: Classic Poster, Bold Night, Sale Splash, Community Board, Gig / Concert, Workshop / Class. Portrait 1080×1350 and square 1080×1080 sizes.
  • Editable content — headline, body text, date/time, venue, and contact lines, plus colour choices (background, accent, headline, body, details), alignment, and headline size.
  • Live canvas preview — the flyer is drawn on a canvas at full template resolution as you type.
  • PNG export — the canvas is exported as a real PNG file written to the location you pick.
  • Print and PDF export — a hidden window renders only the flyer (never the editor chrome) and writes a genuine PDF or opens the system print dialog. Both are real code paths, not placeholder buttons.
  • Saved flyers — a local JSON library on this computer: save, load, and delete flyers.
  • Sample flyer, clearly labeled — the built-in demo is labeled SAMPLE everywhere it appears, including on print/PDF output.
  • Everything runs on your computer. Nothing is uploaded anywhere; there are no accounts and no sync servers.

⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy

  • No images, photo upload, or custom fonts — text and colour only. A flyer with a photo is a post-v1 feature, not a hidden gap.
  • No text styling beyond size, alignment, and colour — no per-word bold, italic, or font picker; body text is one size per flyer.
  • Preview and print can differ by a line — canvas text wrapping uses pixel measurement while print HTML wraps on whitespace; both use the same layout blocks and colours, but they are not pixel-identical renderers.
  • Print/PDF output is A4 — it is not a print-shop bleed/CMYK file.
  • No cloud sync, no collaboration, no accounts. FlyerForge is single-player by design.
  • The macOS installer is coming. It needs a Mac build, so v1 ships Windows and Linux only — the macOS download will appear here the moment it's published.
  • Human GUI click-through is still pending. The app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through pass. The licensing, checkout and activation paths are covered by automated tests; the in-app experience is v1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.

The installers are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open; on Windows, choose "More info → Run anyway".
