📬 MailHubForge
📣 What this app will do for you
This app will give you one window that pairs a real IMAP/SMTP mail client with a local calendar — save one mail account with an app-specific password (no OAuth), browse every folder, read full messages in a reading pane, send and reply in plain text, and save attachments from mail you receive, while your calendar events stay in a local file that never syncs anywhere and can be edited and deleted. Heads up: one account, plain-text sending only with no outgoing attachments, each folder shows its newest 20 messages, there is no message search or offline store, and the mail features have not yet been exercised against a real mail account. Backed by a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Read and send your email and keep a local calendar in one window — your mail account stays yours, and your calendar never leaves your computer.
$29 one-time price. No subscription. Yours forever.

What's included: the full MailHubForge app for Windows · one license covers 3 computers (free a slot anytime from inside the app with its "Deactivate on this computer" button, or from your CertSight account page by regenerating your key) · your license key is emailed at checkout and can also be shown on screen right after payment.
What it does
- One IMAP account, set up once. Enter your mail server's host and port, your username, and an app-specific password, with a TLS toggle — the settings are saved on your computer, and the password is stored encrypted where your operating system supports it. No OAuth sign-in — an app-specific password from your mail provider is how it connects.
- Browse every folder. Fetch pulls your account's folders over IMAP, and each folder shows its newest 20 messages (sender, subject, and date) — pick a folder and press fetch. Mail is read over IMAP and failures are reported in plain words, never faked.
- Read full messages. Click a message and its full body opens in a reading pane — plain text preferred; HTML mail is shown sanitized, with remote images blocked. Attachments on a received message can be saved to disk from the reading pane.
- Send and reply. Compose and send plain-text email over SMTP with the same account, and reply to a message from the reading pane. Sent copies are saved to your Sent folder.
- A local calendar you can edit. Add events with a title, a date, optional start and end times, and notes. Events are kept in a local JSON file on your computer, shown as one chronological list, and can be edited and deleted in the interface. The calendar never syncs to Google or any server — there is no sync code in the app at all.
- Two separate stores, one window. Mail and calendar share the window but nothing else: your calendar events are never sent to your mail provider, and your mail credentials are never used for anything but the mail connections you configured.
- Deactivate from inside the app. A "Deactivate on this computer" button frees that computer's activation slot when you replace a machine — no support ticket, no waiting.
- Almost everything stays on your computer. The only network connections the app ever makes are the IMAP and SMTP connections to your own mail server (mail moves only when you fetch, read, or send) and the activation / deactivation checks to CertSight. No telemetry.
⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy
- One account, app-specific password only. MailHubForge holds a single mail account and has no OAuth sign-in, so if your provider does not offer app-specific passwords, it cannot connect to that provider.
- Sending is plain text, and you can't attach files. Outgoing mail is plain text only — no HTML mail, and there is no way to attach a file to a message you send. (You CAN save attachments from mail you receive.)
- Newest 20 per folder, no search, no offline store. Each folder lists its newest 20 messages only. There is no message search, and mail is fetched on demand, not downloaded and stored — no background sync, no notifications, and nothing is kept for offline reading.
- The calendar is a simple list. Events display as one chronological list — there is no day, week, or month view and no reminders. It does not import, export, or sync with any other calendar.
- Mail hasn't been exercised against a real account yet. The mail features are covered by automated tests, but they have not yet been run against a real mail account end to end — and the app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human GUI click-through on a real Windows machine. Checkout, licensing, and activation are covered end to end by automated tests. We'd rather say this plainly than oversell a 1.1.
- Windows only for now. The download below is a Windows portable build. There is no macOS or Linux build yet — we'd rather say that plainly than promise one. Your license will work on those builds if and when they're published.
If any of the above is a deal-breaker for you, this isn't for you yet — and we'd rather tell you now than after checkout.
Download
Windows 10/11 (64-bit), portable build — no installer, just download and run.
macOS and Linux are not available yet. There is no build for them today; if one is published later, this same license key will activate it.
The app is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. Choose "More info → Run anyway" to start it.
How activation works: at checkout your license key is emailed to you (and can be shown on screen right after payment). Enter it on the app's activation screen — one license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. Replacing a computer? Use "Deactivate on this computer" inside the app to free its slot, or generate a fresh key from your account page (the old key stops working).
