What it does

  • Your folders become a library. Add local folders, external drives or network folders; MediaForge scans them into movie, TV, music and photo libraries. Season and episode numbers are read from file names and Season folders, and music tags are read locally.
  • A real 10-foot interface. Designed for the couch — large type, a focus you can always see, and full control from keyboard or remote-first navigation. No squinting at a desktop app from across the room.
  • Playback that remembers. Movies and episodes resume where you stopped, a Continue Watching rail keeps everything in progress on the home screen, and Next Episode is one press away. Subtitles load from .srt sidecar files.
  • Music, properly. Albums, playlists, a play queue, shuffle and repeat — your own files, organized by their tags.
  • Photo nights. Full-screen slideshows of your photo folders, with your music playing along if you want it.
  • Your IPTV, with a guide. Load your own M3U playlist and XMLTV guide, browse what's on, and record plain streams — recordings are validated before they're saved, so a broken link never saves a junk file.
  • Your Steam games on the same screen. MediaForge detects your Steam library and lists your installed games next to your media, ready to launch; games from elsewhere can be added by hand. Streaming services appear as clearly labeled launcher tiles.
  • Profiles for the household. Separate profiles keep their own resume points, favorites and history, with basic section hiding per profile.
  • Corrections stick. Fix a title or year by hand and rescans preserve your correction — the library works for you, not the other way round.

⚠️ Read before you buy — requirements and limits

  • Windows 10/11 only. MediaForge runs on Windows today. No macOS version is included in this purchase — there is no Mac build yet.
  • The app is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen will warn on first launch ("Windows protected your PC"). Choose "More info → Run anyway" — only for the file you downloaded from this page after buying.
  • Playback uses Windows' built-in codecs. MediaForge plays the formats Windows itself can decode. Some files — for example MKV on a stock Windows install — may not play until Windows has a codec for them.
  • No online metadata fetching. MediaForge does not fetch metadata or artwork online. Artwork comes from files in your folders, and titles come from your file names plus any corrections you make.
  • No tuner or scheduled DVR. There is no broadcast-tuner support and no scheduled recording — IPTV recording is manual, from your own playlist.
  • Your content, your responsibility. MediaForge organizes and plays files and playlists you provide; it includes no content, channels or subscriptions of its own.
