What MediaIndex is — and is not
- It is an index over transcripts you supply: recording metadata, user-supplied transcripts, reviewed tags, and timestamped search matches with excerpts.
- It is not auto-transcription. It never claims to have transcribed audio or video, and it never generates captions or AI voice.
- It is not a media player. No audio or video file is stored, played, or transcoded. A match tells you the timestamp; you open your own original file at that timestamp yourself.
- It is not shared. Every recording, transcript, and tag is scoped to your account and is never shown to another user.
- Limits are enforced, not hidden: 20 recordings per account, 50000 transcript characters and 500 lines per recording, 500,000 bytes per uploaded file, 20 tags per recording.
