What it does

  • Every account in one place. 12 account types — checking, savings, credit cards, loans, investments and more — with a dashboard showing net worth, cash, debt, this month's money in and out, your savings rate and upcoming bills.
  • Real transactions. Enter transactions with splits across categories and linked transfer pairs between your accounts, so money moving between accounts is never counted twice.
  • Statement import that respects you. Import CSV, OFX, QFX and QIF files; your column mapping is remembered, and fingerprint duplicate detection means importing the same file twice adds no new rows.
  • Categories that learn. Seeded categories plus keyword rules file your spending automatically — and when you correct one, MoneyForge learns the correction for next time.
  • Budgets that roll over. Monthly budgets carry what's left (or overspent) into next month instead of pretending every month starts from zero. Savings goals and sinking funds track alongside.

  • Windows 10/11 only. MoneyForge runs on Windows today. No macOS version is included in this purchase — there is no Mac build yet.
  • The app is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen will warn on first launch ("Windows protected your PC"). Choose "More info → Run anyway" — only for the file you downloaded from this page after buying.
  • No bank sync. There is no bank sync or account aggregation — MoneyForge never asks for your bank login. You import the statement files (CSV, OFX, QFX, QIF) your bank lets you download.
  • Projections are not advice. Calculator output is labeled "Projection — not financial advice" because that is what it is — planning math, not a financial plan.
  • Local-first, by design. No cloud sync or backup: your financial data stays on your PC, and your own backup routine (plus the app's encrypted backups) stays your safety net.
  • Card APRs are not stored. MoneyForge doesn't track credit-card APRs in this version, so payoff estimates assume 0% APR and say so.
