What it does

  • Write and format — bold, italic, underline, Heading 1–3, bullet lists and numbered lists, with a live word count as you type.
  • Save locally — documents save to your own computer in PageForge's local .pfdoc format. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
  • Export on-device — send a document out as DOCX for Word or as PDF for sharing, both generated on your machine.
  • Everything runs on your computer. Your documents are never uploaded anywhere; there are no accounts and no sync servers.

⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy

  • No images, tables, font choice, or text colors in v1. PageForge is a clean text-first writer: formatting is bold/italic/underline, headings, and lists.
  • Paste is plain-text only. Pasting from the web or another document brings the words, not the formatting.
  • The macOS installer is coming. It needs a Mac build, so v1 ships Windows and Linux only — the macOS download will appear here the moment it's published.
  • Human GUI click-through is still pending. The app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through pass. The licensing, checkout and activation paths are covered by automated tests; the in-app experience is v1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.

The macOS installer is being prepared and will appear here the moment it's published — your license key will work as soon as it's posted.

The installers are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open; on Windows, choose "More info → Run anyway".

One license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. No accounts, no telemetry, no phone-home beyond the one activation call.
