🌐 ProxyForge
📣 What this app will do for you
This app will manage your Windows proxy settings through named profiles — save each HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy you already use once, switch the system proxy on, off, or between profiles in one click, and generate PAC files carrying your bypass list for apps that take one. Your profiles stay on your computer. Heads up: ProxyForge provides no proxy servers and is not a VPN — it only configures settings for endpoints you supply; SOCKS5 is carried exactly in PAC files, and there is no macOS or Linux build yet.
Save your proxy setups once, switch between them in one click.

What's included: the full ProxyForge app for Windows · one license covers 3 computers (free a slot anytime from inside the app with "Deactivate this computer," or from your CertSight account page by regenerating your key) · your license key is emailed at checkout and can also be shown on screen right after payment.
What it does
- Named profiles for your own proxies. Save each proxy you already use as a named profile — HTTP or SOCKS5, host and port, an optional username and password, and a bypass list for addresses that should connect directly (localhost is bypassed by default). Home, office, none — each setup is one entry, not a trip through Windows settings.
- One-click switching. Clicking a profile writes it into the Windows system proxy settings for your user account — the standard settings browsers and most apps read — and switching to "none" turns the system proxy off again. These are per-user settings, so no administrator rights are needed.
- PAC file generation. ProxyForge can generate a PAC file for the active profile, carrying its bypass list, to paste into apps and tools that accept a PAC configuration instead of the system settings.
- Deactivate from inside the app. A "Deactivate this computer" button frees that computer's activation slot when you replace a machine — no support ticket, no waiting.
- Everything stays on your computer. Your profiles are stored locally; the only requests ProxyForge ever makes to CertSight are the activation and deactivation checks. No account, no telemetry.
⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy
- It configures settings — it is not a VPN and provides no proxy servers. ProxyForge doesn't route, relay, or encrypt your traffic itself; it points Windows at a proxy endpoint you supply. If you don't already have a proxy to use, this app has nothing to switch to.
- SOCKS5 and the Windows system settings. Applying a profile writes its address into the standard Windows proxy settings as a host:port entry, which some apps read as an HTTP proxy regardless of the profile type. SOCKS5 profiles are carried exactly in generated PAC files — if a SOCKS5 profile doesn't take effect for a particular app system-wide, give that app the PAC file instead.
- Some apps ignore the system settings. A few programs keep their own proxy configuration and never look at the Windows settings; ProxyForge can't change those — the PAC file or the app's own settings are the route there.
- Switching is manual in v1. Profiles change when you click them — there's no schedule and no automatic switching when you join a different network.
- Windows only for now. The download below is a Windows portable build. There is no macOS or Linux build yet — we'd rather say that plainly than promise one. Your license will work on those builds if and when they're published.
- Human GUI click-through is still pending. Checkout, licensing, and activation are covered end to end by automated tests, but the app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through on a real Windows machine — the in-app experience is v1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.
If any of the above is a deal-breaker for you, v1 isn't for you yet — and we'd rather tell you now than after checkout.
Download
Windows 10/11 (64-bit), portable build — no installer, just download and run.
macOS and Linux are not available yet. There is no build for them today; if one is published later, this same license key will activate it.
The app is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. Choose "More info → Run anyway" to start it.
How activation works: at checkout your license key is emailed to you (and can be shown on screen right after payment). Enter it on the app's activation screen — one license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. Replacing a computer? Use "Deactivate this computer" inside the app to free its slot, or generate a fresh key from your account page (the old key stops working).
