What it does

  • Projects — create, switch between, and delete multiple projects.
  • Boards — three columns: To do, Doing, and Done.
  • Tasks — add, edit, complete, and delete tasks, each with an optional due date and notes.
  • Find things fast — search titles and notes, filter by column, and filter by due bucket (overdue, due today, no due date). Due-date badges flag overdue tasks and tasks due today.
  • CSV export — export the current project's tasks as a CSV file.
  • Everything runs on your computer. Tasks are stored locally in a JSON file; nothing is uploaded anywhere; there are no accounts and no sync servers.

⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy

  • No cloud sync, no collaboration, no reminders, no accounts. TaskForge is single-player by design.
  • No drag-and-drop in v1. Board moves use the per-card "Move to…" control or the Complete button.
  • Search and filters apply within the selected project only.
  • The macOS installer is coming. It needs a Mac build, so v1 ships Windows and Linux only — the macOS download will appear here the moment it's published.
  • Human GUI click-through is still pending. The app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through pass. The licensing, checkout and activation paths are covered by automated tests; the in-app experience is v1 and we will say so plainly until that pass is done.

The macOS installer is being prepared and will appear here the moment it's published — your license key will work as soon as it's posted.

The installers are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open; on Windows, choose "More info → Run anyway".

One license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. No accounts, no telemetry, no phone-home beyond the one activation call.
