🎨 TintForge
📣 What this app will do for you
This app will put a widget board and wallpaper picker on your Windows desktop — a ticking clock, a real month-view calendar, weather by city name from Open-Meteo, and live CPU and memory stats on one in-app board (not native OS widgets), plus six bundled original wallpapers that convert to a real PNG at your display's resolution when you apply one. Your board stays on your computer. Heads up: drive stats cover the system drive only, wallpaper targets the primary display, weather is current conditions only, and there is no macOS or Linux build yet.
Your clock, calendar, weather, system stats, and wallpapers — live, on one board, in one app.
$19 one-time price. No subscription. Yours forever.

What's included: the full TintForge app for Windows · one license covers 3 computers (free a slot anytime from inside the app with "Deactivate this computer," or from your CertSight account page by regenerating your key) · your license key is emailed at checkout and can also be shown on screen right after payment.
What it does
- An in-app widget board — not native OS widgets. TintForge's widgets live on a board inside the app window. They are not native Windows Widgets or macOS WidgetKit widgets — Electron can't ship those formats, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. Your board layout is saved on your computer — positions included — so it's still there when you reopen the app.
- A clock that ticks. The clock widget shows your current local time and updates every second.
- A real calendar. The calendar widget is a real month view with today highlighted, and you can browse forward and back a month at a time.
- Live system stats. The stats widget shows your live CPU load and memory use, refreshed every 2 seconds, plus your system drive's free space and how long the machine has been up.
- Weather by city name, no key needed. Type a city name and the weather widget looks it up through Open-Meteo (a free public weather API that needs no account and no API key) and shows that city's current temperature in °C — no coordinates to type, and the app doesn't track your location.
- Six bundled original wallpapers that actually apply. Dusk Gradient, Mint Grid, Ember Rings, Ocean Lines, Paper Dots, and Night Blocks — original artwork created for TintForge, included in the app. Picking one converts the theme to a real PNG at your display's resolution and sets that as your Windows desktop wallpaper.
- Deactivate from inside the app. A "Deactivate this computer" button frees that computer's activation slot when you replace a machine — no support ticket, no waiting.
- Everything stays on your computer. Your board and settings are stored locally; the only requests TintForge ever makes to CertSight are the activation and deactivation checks, plus the weather widget's calls to Open-Meteo. No account, no telemetry.
⚠️ Scope notes — read before you buy
- Widgets live inside the app. The widgets are cards on TintForge's board inside its window — they are not native Windows widgets and don't appear on your desktop or in the Windows Widgets panel. The board has to be open to see them.
- Stats cover the system drive only. The drive figure is your system drive (where Windows lives), not every drive in the machine.
- Wallpaper targets the primary display. Apply sets the wallpaper on your primary display; it doesn't set a different image per monitor.
- Weather is current conditions only. The widget shows the current temperature for the city you entered — no forecast, no automatic location detection, and temperatures are shown in °C.
- Windows only for now. The download below is a Windows portable build. There is no macOS or Linux build yet — we'd rather say that plainly than promise one. Your license will work on those builds if and when they're published.
- Human GUI click-through is still pending. Checkout, licensing, and activation are covered end to end by automated tests, but the app's hands-on flows have not yet had a full human play-through on a real Windows machine — we will say so plainly until that pass is done.
If any of the above is a deal-breaker for you, this isn't for you yet — and we'd rather tell you now than after checkout.
Download
Windows 10/11 (64-bit), portable build — no installer, just download and run.
macOS and Linux are not available yet. There is no build for them today; if one is published later, this same license key will activate it.
The app is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first launch — this is normal for a new publisher. Choose "More info → Run anyway" to start it.
How activation works: at checkout your license key is emailed to you (and can be shown on screen right after payment). Enter it on the app's activation screen — one license activates on up to 3 computers, with 30-day offline trust after activation. Replacing a computer? Use "Deactivate this computer" inside the app to free its slot, or generate a fresh key from your account page (the old key stops working).
