📺 TubeScope
📣 What this app will do for you
This app will take a keyword for a video niche and turn it into videos with tags and outlier scores vs channel size, plus related keywords from tag overlap. It's your YouTube keyword research + outlier flags — built for exactly that job. Heads up: outlier scores are heuristics, not guarantees, and you'll need your own free YouTube Data API key — it stays in your browser and is never sent to CertSight.
Search any YouTube keyword. See the videos, their tags, and which ones are outperforming their channel — before the topic is obvious.
TubeScope calls the official YouTube Data API from your browser with your own free API key and shows each result with its thumbnail, channel, views, published date, duration, and tags — plus an outlier score: how a video's views compare with its channel's usual performance. Shorts and long-form are filterable, videos can be saved, and related keywords fall out of tag overlap across the top results.

- Keyword search — videos with thumbnails, channel names, view counts, published dates, durations, and tags.
- Outlier scores — each video scored against its channel's recent median views in these results (or 10% of subscribers as a labeled fallback), with the formula shown next to every score.
- Shorts vs long-form filter — split results by duration (Shorts = 60 seconds or under, a duration heuristic).
- Saved videos — keep a list of videos to revisit, stored on this device only.
- Related keywords — the most frequent tags across the top results, clickable to re-search.
⚠️ Honest limits, stated up front
- Your own free YouTube Data API key is required. The tool has no server key and no shared quota: you paste a free key from Google Cloud Console, it lives in your browser's localStorage only, and it is never sent to the CertSight server or stored in our database.
- Results depend on YouTube's data. View counts, tags, and subscriber counts come from the official YouTube Data API. A channel that hides its subscriber count shows no subscriber-based fallback, and a video without tags shows no tags.
- The outlier score is a heuristic, not a guarantee of performance. It compares views with the channel's recent median in these results — not the channel's full history — and the 10%-of-subscribers fallback is an assumption, labeled wherever it is used. A high score means the video outperformed its channel's usual results here; it does not promise your video will do the same.
- Shorts detection is duration-based. A video of 60 seconds or under is labeled Short; a few short long-form videos will be labeled Short too.
- Saved videos are device-only. They live in this browser's localStorage and do not sync to your CertSight account or any other device.
- Quota is yours, not ours. On Google's default free quota, each search costs about 102 API units (search 100 + video details 1 + channel details 1), so roughly 98 searches a day. Google sets quotas; if a search fails on quota, the tool says so plainly instead of faking results.
- No YouTube branding beyond the data. Thumbnails, titles, and channel names shown are the API results for your keyword. Nothing here copies another creator's tool, code, assets, or branding.
